Our Inspiration: The Story Behind Lancaster Spirits Company
At Lancaster Spirits Company, our journey is more than just a quest to create exceptional spirits – it's a story of inspiration, dedication, and the unwavering pursuit of excellence.
Our story begins in 2019, with a dream, nurtured over many years to produce single malt whisky, utilising the brewing equipment, expertise and knowhow. The vision was clear: to craft single malt, spirits and beers exclusively within our one-acre site, creating a seamless experience from grain to glass.
After many months of careful planning and analysis, we procured a bespoke still with two columns and a gin basket, marking the official inception of Lancaster Spirits Company.
But to realise our dream of producing the first Lancastrian Single Malt, we needed a dedicated warehouse for distilling, maturing & bottling our whisky. So plans were drawn up to build a bespoke space for our stillhouse & cask warehouse alongside the brewery.
Finally in 2024, we realised our ambition to fill the very first casks of Lancastrian Single Malt every to be produced and after 3 years of maturation we'll be able to bottle it after many years of waiting...
